There are few thing that get better with age. And right up there with fine wine and Betty White are Barbour jackets. Don't take my word for it? How about the Queen's? As stated in a recent article in the Telegraph, "when asked to replace Her Majesty's jacket with a new one, instead of re-waxing it, for her silver jubilee, she replied that she'd rather like her old one back."
In fact, due to a strict no gifting policy, the Queen had to buy the first one! Other purchasers of the brand include Kate Moss and the Band the Arctic Monkeys. Finding true celebrities (and royalty for that matter) to embrace and wear your brand is as rare as a reality star being known for something other than being famous.
Barbour just happens to be one of the few brands that has stayed the test of time, culture and technology. Just like the royal family.
Cheers to brands that don't have to pay for celebrity endorsements! They are few and will probably remain that way. However, if one of these celebrities were to appear in a Barbour billboard or catalog, I'm sure Barbour would have to pay royally.
