Brad Keselowski is Miller Light's main squeeze in the NASCAR circuit. Miller Light is the car sponsor for Keselowski's #2 car in the Sprint Cup series. While this is not a typical celebrity endorsement, I've always believed that NASCAR sponsors, especially the car's main sponsor, are sponsoring the car/team as much as they are the athlete/individual.
Miller Light announced that they will run a promotion that gives 2 lucky fans a "Miller Light Man Cave" every time Keselowski and his Dodge win during the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Good idea. It gives people a reason to cheer for the guy. Unfortunately, Keselowski's average finish in 2010 was about 22nd, hardly a real contender around the track. I'd like to see is something even bigger, a better deal for the fans. I don't understand why promotions like this use such a small scope that only affects a small population. I'd rather see Miller give a dollar discount off of every 6 pack if this guy wins, or even better, a “buy one, get one free” deal. Not only would this type of promotion get huge press, but it’s barely a gamble given Keselowski's track record. Come on brand activators for sponsorships and endorsement deals, take a risk, make things interesting. I'd certainly cheer for Brad Keselowski and the Miller Light #2 car for a free 6 pack of beer.
