Earlier this week, I criticized Jennifer Lopez's celebrity endorsement deal with Fiat, but I recently discovered (admittedly, a little late) her great viral ads for Kohl's. The celebrity endorsement ads feature the ex-power couple in typical, everyday office annoyances from the superstars’ perspective. The spots are simple, but funny. They are cute and relatable. Perfect for the Kohl’s target audience – the 30-something woman. They're all worth a quick look.
The Jennifer Lopez collection and Marc Anthony line–the only Celebrity men's clothing line at Kohl's–will certainly appeal to the fashionable 30-something looking for clothing at the discount retailer. However, the fact that Marc Anthony is THE ONLY CELEBRITY MEN'S LINE at Kohl’s makes me think that the couple–when they were together–made it a package deal, or no deal. Marc Anthony is pretty good in the few short, quippy spots, but he wouldn't be my first choice for a celebrity line. Marc may have just been lucky to get this in before the divorce, and the clothes don't look half bad either.
