Jennifer Lopez, a Latina actress/singer and Fiat, an Italian car company trying to make a comeback in the U.S., is not a natural paring. I understand the appeal of connecting with J Lo. She's a talented actress and singer and arguably one of the most beautiful people in the world. Plus, she's on TV twice every week, and in the press daily when “American Idol” is blazing across American TV sets. But this ad is so awkward and unnatural that it seems like a combination of a telenovela and Fanta commercial. I expect more from top talent like J Lo and a major force in the automotive industry like Fiat.
