Rafael Nadal has a reputation. Don’t worry, it’s not like the Lebron’s reputation as arrogant. It’s not like Peyton’s reputation as a goofball. And it’s definitely not like Tiger’s reputation as a womanizing liar. Nadal’s reputation is that he’s a good guy. He’s serious about his sport. He’s never run into problems with the law, much less the media.
Rafa is one of the most respectable and responsible role model athletes in modern history – which makes him a winner on and off the court.
Bacardi really decided to up their "Drink Responsibly" game in the new campaign featuring Rafael Nadal. He's a great ambassador for any brand trying to promote accountability and class. The first iteration of this campaign (see left) came out earlier this year and it was weak. There was no real brand alignment between the brand and the talent, but rather just a "Champions Drink Responsibly" headline and a random picture of the tennis stud. However, the new campaign's simple inclusion of his quote "I'd always tell my friends where the line is" and well-directed image is clever without being overly cheesy.
